RHONDA CROSSWHITE, sixth grade teacher at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, Oklahoma, which was leveled by a tornado.  She threw herself over students inside a bathroom stall as the storm passed, likely helping to save their lives.

I don’t think the point was the length of the cutoffs (to be honest they’re not that short). I think it was wearing the cutoffs (and cowboy boots and bright pink top) to Chilton. No matter the length of either, the skirt suit was an obvious choice over shorts when you’re dropping your daughter off for her first day at private school.  It had nothing to do with how short it is. I would expect nothing less of Lorelai as that is her style and she stands by it. I think she just wished she could wear a more respectable ensemble (and I don’t think hem length means anything in terms of respectability).
